Pianist Isabelle O'Connell performs music from her critically acclaimed new solo album Cocteau (Divine Art Records) highlighting the musical connections and artistic spirit of French artist, writer and film-maker Jean Cocteau. Isabelle presents a program that explores the musical avant-garde of 1920's Paris with music by Erik Satie, Igor Stravinsky, Francis Poulenc, Darius Milhaud, Germaine Tailleferre and the rest of Le Groupe des Six. The program will also feature the U.S. premiere of a suite of pieces entitled 'Cocteau' by Irish composer Rhona Clarke, inspired by Jean Cocteau's multi-faceted persona and multidisciplinary body of work.
